Best Boyfriend Gift Award

Am I the only one who thinks boyfriend presents are some of the most difficult to find?

Especially an Anniversary gift because boys are hardly as entertained as we are with mushy-I-Love-You type gifts.

But it’s time to thank the Girlfriend Goddesses… I’ve found the best boyfriend-gift ever (thanks to my recent obsession with Pintrest).

Not only is it extremely heart-felt, it is wonderful for a college girl budget! :)

52 Reasons Why I Love You.

Sound cheesy? Yes, I know. But when it’s been 3 years, I’m not too worried about being embarrassed.

I’ve seen a few different examples online that were pretty generic (“You have a great smile”, “You care about my feelings”) blah, blah, blah.

I decided that I really wanted mine to be personal using specific memories that have brought us closer over the past 3 years. I thought it would take awhile to accumulate my list but it was shockingly easy (we’ve been through a lot).

I think he would agree, this was one of the best gifts I’ve given him :) It’s also a great keepsake to display in our home that we can always look at and think about special memories from our first 3 years together.

Okay, I’ve talked too much about love… Let’s make it.

Materials:

A deck of cards (I assume most people have this lying around the house which means… FREE!)

Hole punch

2 binder rings… You could also use yarn or ribbon

Computer paper… I printed mine out but you could hand write them too

Scrapbook supplies for cover decoration

The rest is pretty self explanatory…

Make a list of 52 reasons why you love your significant other,

Print or write them out on small pieces of paper,

use scrapbook tape to adhere paper to cards.

It’s really important that all the holes match up, so you can take a ruler and make small dots on each card so that you know where to punch.

After each of your cards has a “reason” on it, make a cover.

I went to Hobby Lobby and got 3 pieces of card stock, and 4 sheets of stickers for $4! DEALS!

And that’s it!

Easiest, cheapest, most meaningful gift you can give your man :)

Here are just some of mine to help you think outside the box:

Haha he hates the fluffy one but he knows I won’t stay over if he steals my flat pillow :)

There’s a reason why I have a pink fishing pole and actually notice what kind of cars are around me

Haha! Oh those darn company holiday parties.

True story!

I hope these inspire some great ideas! It’s really fun to think back even to early memories, he’ll be surprised when he reads them!

Send me pictures of yours and let me know how he reacts!

  2. THANK YOU FOR THIS! I’ll do it, i just hope it ends up pretty haha and I’ll send pictures to you. (: in my case it’s for our 2 year aniversary.

  3. I made something similar like to to my boyfriend and he thought it was cheesy. He threw it out. Oh well at least I tried. I need to make him a manly gift or nothing at all which he said.

  4. What a great idea! You’ve given me an absolutely PERFECT idea for a small gift for my husband for our 5 year wedding anniversary next month….we don’t buy gifts for anniversary (we typically just go away for a week or so), but he’ll LOVE this! Thanks! If I can figure out how to attach pics when it’s done I’ll do it. :o)
